This life changing experience encouraged me to pick up and change careers, something I had wanted to do for years but never had the drive or determination to do so.
I loved what I did in the Royal Navy and was my life for over16 years, but knowing how short Tilly’s life could have been, I didn’t want to waste a minute of it at sea.
Making a change is scary, it’s bloody hard but by god is it worth it.
This was the push I needed, what is stopping you taking the plunge?
What actually makes you productive
I still got it wrong. I came into the year rested, new outlook and promise of a better work-life balance.
Shock! It fell at the wayside. By the end of Jan, I was back at the top picture, making no time for me or my family. 4 days into Feb, I have readjusted, up early for a ride, finish on time to have dinner with my little girl and eating well.
With a little discipline to get up and get on the bike, then turn my computer off at the end of the day, I am already more productive. Who else has let it slip and is not looking after themselves.
